let's talk about it.
I offer counseling and coaching services that are kink-aware and kink-affirmative, because it's hard to reach your fullest wellness potential if you can't show up fully.
love your kink.
I teach people how to better understand and express their kinky desires without shame, and empower them with the language and skills necessary to negotiate loving and lasting kink-positive relationships.
Whether you’re just coming to terms with your own interest in kink, want to communicate better with your partner(s), or are looking to harness the creative potential of kink in your life, I can provide you with the tools and techniques necessary to navigate the tricky terrain of alternative sexuality.
My Kink Counseling clients include individuals, couples, and multi-partner relationships who are committed to their self-care and authentic sexual expression, and interested in bringing a sense of playfulness and adventure to their erotic lives. Many of the people I work with describe deeply held, life-long fetishes and fantasies that they’ve struggled to share with a partner, others describe stepping toward BDSM to meet the needs of someone they love, while still others are simply curious, adventurous, or inspired by pop culture or literature.
My work is informed by my training, including both Master's and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Psychology with a post-doctoral specialty in forensics working with sexual behavior problems, as well as 25 years of experience in the fields of professional BDSM and sex education

how does it work?
Kink Counseling is an opportunity to discuss your curiosities, concerns, and questions about consensual BDSM (bondage, discipline, sado-masochism) in a private and confidential setting. It is designed to help individuals, couples, and multi-partner relationships develop a positive connection to their desire, as well as the skills and resources necessary to manifest a healthy expression of this desire in solo and interpersonal play.
Kink Counseling is goal-oriented and strategy-focused: My aim is to listen carefully to your current situation and work with you collaboratively on here-and-now solutions to your kink concerns. Kink Counseling is client-centered: Appointments are made at intervals that suit your needs and schedule, and may be short- or long-term depending on your preferences.
Kink Counseling sessions are typically one hour in length (although 30 and 90 minute sessions are available), and are scheduled with advance notice. Due to COVID-19 safety concerns, all appointments are currently offered by Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, or telephone.
this isn't your typical therapy. In fact, it's important to note that this is not licensed psychotherapy, and is not intended to diagnose or treat any mental illness as designated by the American Psychiatric Association. More questions about this? Visit my FAQ page.
